Impossible is Just a Word

Every single person on this earth, at one time or the other in their lives, have always dreamed of becoming something more, someone special and big. Who hadn’t dreamt of becoming the one who hits the winning homer? Who hasn’t dreamt of becoming the homecoming queen? We have dreamt of being rich, powerful, happy and just successful with our relationships many times.

We have many big dreams and great aspirations but have you ever wondered how many of our dreams just stay dreams forever? And our aspirations age without ever being fulfilled? This is the sad reality of our lives. Instead of working towards fulfilling these dreams, we often tend to get caught up in the dull day to day living overlooking what exciting adventures we could possibly experience through self-actualization.

But to tell you the truth, life could be made so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.

The major setback in someone’s life and achieving their dreams is the word ‘impossible’. Most people even before they think about stepping towards achieving their dreams hung up thinking it’s too hard, impossible and they cannot do that simply. But think to yourself, if everyone in this world thought that, there would be no inventions, no discoveries and no breakthroughs in human accomplishments what so ever. That’s why, a change of thought is necessary.

Do you remember how the bumblebee baffled the human scientists who were very consistent that it’s impossible for the bumblebees to fly? Well fortunately no one had told the bumblebees at that point and hence they fly all those who said it’s impossible.

Another fact for the lack of dreams being fulfilled is that people tend to have outrageous dreams of things that could never happen and the result being big disappointments, broken dreams and shattered aspirations.

There are two sides for this. First, if you doubt yourself and your potential always making self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break the wall around you and reach your dreams. Secondly, if you dream about reaching far too up in the sky, also without doing any work towards achieving it, then you may find clinging to an impossible dream.

Here is a little exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down your life goals under three headings, goals ‘you know you can do’, ‘you might be able to do’, ‘impossible for you to do’. After completing this task, take a look at all your goals you have about your life and try to accomplish one by one which are under the header, you know you can do. Check them as you do and proceed on the list and once done, move on to the next header, the ones you might be able to do. Then to the ones you thought as impossible for you to do. This way when you continue on this iterative process you will realize on your own that the things you thought were impossible for you, doesn’t seem so impossible at all when you give it a thought.

The technique you follow here is to reach your bigger goals little by little not limiting your imaginations. You aim high and slowly work towards them but however setting up an unrealistic goal is unwise. Since those who dream but doesn’t work to make them come true end up being disappointed, this is the best way to be.

Think to yourself. If you told someone that man can go to the moon and walk on it hundred years ago, they would have laughed at you. If you told them you can draft a mail and send them to the other side of the world in seconds, they would have laughed even harder. But as you see, now things have changed, the impossibilities have turned in to possibilities either through absolute desire or perseverance.

Thomas Alwa Edison has said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Can anything be truer than that? The 1% inspiration has to a big dream which you desire to achieve someday, not something easy but not something completely unrealistic too. The rest of 99% has to be hard work and dedication, the part you play to achieve it, no matter what. They say “no pain, no gain” which is true, unless you put yourself out of your comfort zone and try to beat up the impossibilities, you can never gain anything worth gaining.

So don’t get caught up with self-limitations. Dream on, there are no limits for you. Always think bigger and work hard towards those dreams because as you see yourself stepping up in the ladder, you will realize that nothing is impossible for you anymore, the world will be all yours.

10 inspirational quotes than can improve yourself

After a hard day’s work, a little coffee or a couple of beers or any other booze you can get your hands on can help with relaxing and yeah I’m guilty as charged about that as well unless after a few vodka shots I’m caught dead with a lampshade over my head…half naked! Sorry, that’s a terrible example. I apologize for the disturbing images you might get hereafter about me as a drunken stupor and please don’t ask me how it happened.

Moving on, it is really interesting to see how people always go through the normal life when they face huge stress. Many say that trends today like Zen or Yoga can do the trick and yes, they actually work. Is there actually space for the intellectual side of humans? It got me thinking that there really can be something with this ‘mind over matter’ concept.

But as many would say, Humor is indeed the best medicine no matter what situation you are, what troubles you face. You can easily pay a good comedian some money and wet your pants laughing hard for the jokes they have to say. Despite the troubles you have had and the suffering you have gone through, it is always better to face the troubles while laughing with clear mind than a mind clouded and gloomy with anger. And one of the best celebrities of all time who would give the in-your-face frankness when he pulls out the enjoyment without even trying much is Woody Allen. It is amazing how you could just talk about anything in the world with him and he would just turn the subject to a pool of laughter simply by mocking it, and you would end up laughing your pants off rather than being upset about it anymore.

Woody Allen has this to say:

1. “Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons.” It sounds true to me since the practicality of all things involves money but it doesn’t have to take an arm and a leg to get it.

2. “I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it’s the government.” ‘Nuff said.

3. “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?” This is one of the classics. The issues you have with all the little problems of life seem just fine and you seem to live well with those until the moment ‘he’ shows up.

Sure, relationships can get complicated or has its complications we discover sooner or later but we tend to  go after what our heart desires the most, unless you’re talking about the heart as in biology, the blood pumping muscle in the inside your body.

4. “Love is the answer, but while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions.” And if you want more, just keep on asking!

5. “A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me, she said ‘no’.” It sounds, ‘practical’, I think.

And when it comes to everyday life, he really knows how to make the best out of every possible scenario, and it doesn’t involve a lawsuit if he strikes a nerve.

6. “Basically my wife was immature. I’d be at home in the bath and she’d come in and sink my boats.” I never had a boat in my bathtub before. Just staring at it while soaking in hot water makes me seasick already.

7. “I am not afraid of death, I just don’t want to be there when it happens.” If it rains, it pours.

8. “I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.” It could get worse when you’re guzzling on beer… or mouthwash, and it happened to me once!

9. “If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.” At least he doesn’t smite us with lightning, and I’m thankful for that.

We don’t know what will happen to us in the next ten, twenty or even thirty years but we have to see things differently and not just perspective. Life cannot be imagined without any wisdom to guide us along the way and we need more courage than we think to accept our fears and learn the way to deal with them. It doesn’t matter we are religious or not, dealing with your fears and troubles is the only thing that matters in the end.

And to sum things up, here is the last nugget of wisdom to go by… however, whenever, and wherever we may be.

10. “The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don’t have.”

7 day Program to Positive thinking

We all have bright ideas we think are unique and massive hidden in the back of our minds and yes, not only you, many others too have ideas as such. What motivates you to make those ideas so creative and inspiring to its ultimate levels?

The best way to accomplish something is to set a goal which you can achieve, something every day like mowing the lawn before the big game on TV. If you have the correct attitude which is positively motivating you, things are always easy and enjoyable.

You can come up with ideas always no matter what you do. Even when you are busy with work or just sitting doing nothing on the couch, an idea can always work at the back of your mind. A bit of positive thinking added to the way you think will do the trick. You can always dream bigger and come up with mind blowing ideas like we Americans always do. Here are some tips.

1.    Rather than talk, take passionate action to design your life towards a better living. Action is like deposits on a bank for a more authentic future but an action always have to be passionate, unless it’s void. Your mind does the thinking but the actions are to be done by your hands. If you see an idea seems pointless, you can always refresh it in your mind till it seems perfect.

2.    Commit to a life surrounding your loved ones with decisions made from your heart and soul and not just fear, instead of reacting. You can create a powerful life where you can love and be amazed with the transformation you witness.

3.    Each moment is perfect, understand and embrace the concept. Regardless of the expected outcome, take a shot at things you wish even though it seems kind of extreme. If the outcome is not what you expected, take that as a learning point and move on.

4.    Learn to be happy with what you have right now and try to make the most from it, in a constructive way. Be in a place of gratitude always and you wouldn’t be so needy and poverty conscious anymore.

5.    Use a passion formula of Recognize/Reevaluate/Restore in place of the Shoulda/Woulda/Coulda whirlwind. The first one is based on abundance and increased knowledge while the latter is on lacking and scarcity. When you face tasks which are extremely hard for you, be richly passionate and realize that this is important just as giving orders to your subordinates.

6.    Loosen up and laugh. Keep humor at the top most shelf of life and laugh at and with you. Humor is very passionate, attractive and life-giving and you may find peace with yourself if you let humor take charge of you instead of anger.

7.    Believe that you are the creator of your future, the architect of your life and no one then could take your passion away from you. You can accomplish all the things you want to, if you just let yourself believe for once that you actually can, and till your last breath, there is no stopping you. Enjoy what you do and think positively of what you do and you can sit back and watch when things fall in to place perfectly in passionate precision.

The idea of living just for the sake of living, working for the sake of working with no positive thinking or light within your self is like a dim bulb in a dark corner of an abandoned alley. So instead of ending up there in the alley, pick yourself up and walk towards the better future with a positive attitude.
